Charis is a Registered Clinical Psychologist who is passionate about supporting individuals to recognise and utilise their strengths; adjust to life’s challenges; build resilience; and move towards psychological well-being. Charis aims to provide an empathic, collaborative and supportive therapeutic space for clients. She uses a range of evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and techniques such as self-compassion and mindfulness. Therapy is tailored for each client.
Charis has worked in mental health, research, health, and correctional settings. She has experience supporting people with difficulties such as depression, interpersonal difficulties, low self-esteem, grief, anxiety, stress, trauma, ADHD, disordered eating, child behavioural difficulties, and sleep disturbance. Charis has also assisted clients to cope with climate/eco-distress. She has specialist experience in the area of paediatric sleep difficulty.
Charis is a mother of three and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, cooking and being outdoors.
